The richest figure in Asia, Jack Ma, announced that he would donate medical supplies to four countries in Southeast Asia including Indonesia through the Jack Ma Foundation and the Alibab Foundation.

This was done as an effort to prevent and control disease outbreaks caused by the corona virus.
Ma admitted that his party had contacted the governments of the four countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines to apply for donations of medical equipment.
Furthermore, Jack Ma explained that donations to other Asian countries would also be made in stages along with efforts to overcome the COVID-19 virus.
“The next step, will be followed by assistance for other Asian countries,” said Ma.
“We are joining hands with our neighboring countries in Asia to jointly face Covid-19,” he added.
Together with the Alibaba Foundation, Ma plans to send two million masks, 150,000 test kits, 20,000 protective suits and 20,000 face shields to Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.
